Aiming to contribute to the promotion of Greek food and its connection with tourism, B2B and B2C platform Zorbabook invites gastronomy and tourism professionals to promote their business, products and services, upload events, and network with professionals active in the Greek food and tourism industry in Greece or abroad.
The online platform aims to showcase Greek products and gastronomy by facilitating all involved stakeholders to exhibit their business, products and services globally.
Among the platform’s goals is to promote Greek gastronomy worldwide and support its members’ marketing needs. To achieve greater influence, Zorbabook will be participating in gastronomy and tourism fairs in Greece and abroad, organizing events internationally, as well as fam trips.
The platform is open to producers, Greek gastronomy and culinary brands, businesses, restaurants, hotels, retail stores, photographers, travel agencies, food tour operators, cooking and culinary schools, chefs, and foodies.
In its one year of operation, Zorbabook has achieved 3.7 million posts from 1,800 cities and 117 countries and is working with 1,800 Greek gastronomy ventures and more than 900 producers of Greek products, while 300 users have formed an online exchange base of Greek recipes, trends and events.
“We created Zorbabook to provide an online ‘shelter’ for all professionals worldwide who are involved in Greek Gastronomy,” said Dimitris Palaiogiannis, Zorbabook founder.
Speaking at a Respond on Demand Gastronomy Tourism Forum earlier this year, Palaiogiannis underlined the importance of getting to know Greek food ahead of traveling to Greece.
“We are currently offering a channel of communication to over 2,000 business and producers,” Palaiogiannis told GTP Headlines, adding that the aim of the platform is to offer a daily, 24-hour digital showcase of Greek food and tourism, where professionals can promote their brands, increase their customer base, boost brand awareness and promote Greek gastronomy worldwide.
