Paros Suggested as the ‘Place to Go’ by German, US, Australian Media
The Cycladic island of Paros was recently featured by German, US and Australian media outlets, which praise the beauty of the scenery, the local gastronomy, and the authenticity of the Greek destination.
German magazine Freundin ranks Paros among the 21 best European destinations, while highlighting the island for its bright white villages, beautiful beaches and ancient sights.
“Anyone who has been to Paros always wants to return,” the editor writes, adding that “it is one of the most beautiful islands in Greece.” It is noted that Paros is the only Greek destination mentioned in the article.
Reader’s Digest, an American general-interest family magazine, highlights Paros as the “perfect Greek island vacation-without the crowds” and one of the best destinations in the world for 2024.
Highlighting the island as “stunning”, the article praises Paros for its idyllic beaches surrounded by the crystal clear waters of the Aegean Sea as well as for the winding streets and picturesque villages of Naoussa and Lefkes. These locations offer “a glimpse of the authentic Greek way of life, with their traditional architecture and friendly atmosphere.”
In line with the above, global Matador Network, the largest independent travel publisher in the world, points out Paros as the best holiday destination without bustling crowds.
“Located at the center of the Cyclades island cluster, it combines whitewashed architecture with the beaches and fishing villages that define Greek island culture.”
Headquartered in San Francisco, California, Matador Network has over 8 million unique monthly visitors.
A tribute to Paros was also published in Australian Luxury Travel Magazine. The media notes that many of Greece’s millions of tourists visit Paros as the “location will undoubtedly provide memories to last a lifetime.” The island is also home to many restaurants where visitors can enjoy the local cuisine, while Naoussa is highlighted as the perfect place for vibrant nightlife.
Aiming to promote Paros even more in the international media, between March 11-19, the island’s Deputy Mayor of Tourism, Thodoris Bizas, has scheduled 12 online meetings with journalists, travel writers and influencers from the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Bulgaria.
