Ioannina Airport Welcomes Travelers this Season from Sweden, Denmark and Israel

Ioannina in Epirus, northwestern Greece, this tourism season is welcoming visitors from Sweden, Denmark and Israel, the city’s hotel association has announced.
Scandinavian tour operator Apollo Rejser has included the Greek city as a destination in its travel packages for the 2023 season and has launched charter flights from Sweden and Denmark.
Charter flights to Ioannina International Airport from Stockholm and Gothenburg will run every Friday; and from Copenhagen and Billund on Mondays.
The airlines that will transport travelers from Sweden and Denmark are SAS and Norse Atlantic Airways.
Apollo’s flights will run until late October.

Lake Pamvotida, commonly referred to as the Lake of Ioannina, is located in the central part of the city.
Established in 1986, Apollo Rejser is one of the Nordic’s region leading tour operators that organizes trips, holidays and cruises around the world.
Operating flights to Ioannina for the sixth season, Apollo says Greece is among its most popular summer charter destination.
Ioannina is presented on Apollo’s website and gives users the opportunity to organize their trip by booking a flight and accommodation or by making a combined travel package.
Ioannina-Tel Aviv flights
Ioannina airport’s summer 2023 program also sees the addition of two scheduled direct flights to Tel Aviv carried out by Greek carrier AEGEAN.
Flights from Ioannina to/from Tel Aviv have already begun and are operated with Airbus A320-200 and A320neo aircraft every Wednesday and Saturday. The seasonal flights will run until October 14.
