Aldemar Resorts Shows its Support to Local Communities
Aiming to stand by society during the unprecedented health crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, Greek hospitality group Aldemar Resorts launched partnerships to support local communities and vulnerable groups through its CARE corporate social responsibility program.
The group recently partnered with the municipalities of Hersonissos on Crete, and Pyrgos in the Peloponnese, where its hotels are located, and offered 2.5 tons of food for the meals distributed to families in need.
Aldemar Resorts also offered clothing to the General Hospitals of Pyrgos and Crete.
In addition, the group’s volunteers offered blood to the blood donation centers of the local municipalities.
“Even during these difficult times, our staff has responded to the group’s activities of support. I thank them from the bottom of my heart and feel honored to be with them,” said Aldemar Resorts CEO Alexandros Angelopoulos.
Launched in 1997, Aldemar’s CARE program runs with the contribution of the group’s staff and guests.
“Together we will welcome our future visitors to a place of safety and hospitality… Stay home, but let your mind travel,” he added.
Aldemar Resorts is one of the leading hotel chains in Greece with a total capacity of 3,738 beds and a portfolio of six deluxe resorts and two thalassotherapy centers on the island of Crete and in Western Peloponnese.
