Sani/Ikos Group Honored for Business Excellence at Growth Awards 2020

The Sani/Ikos Group has been honored for its Business Excellence at the Growth Awards 2020 event, which took place recently in Athens.

Organized for the fourth year by Eurobank and Grant Thornton, the event rewards companies that combine high financial performance with a successful history, and contribute to the development of a new entrepreneurial landscape and working culture in Greece.

Ikos/Sani President Stavros Andreadis and CEO Andreas Andreadis dedicated the award to the group’s staff: “This significant distinction is one more reward for our company’s culture and five-year effort to responsibly develop internationally recognized hotel brands. The passion and dedication of our people are behind all this,” they said in a statement.

Through its brands, Sani Resort and Ikos Resorts, the group currently operates 10 unique privately owned resorts in Greece (HalkidikiCorfu, Kos) and Spain (Marbella/Estepona).

According to the group, from 2015 until today, Sani/Ikos has invested 500 million euros in the development of the Sani Resort and the creation of the new international brand Ikos Resorts, which aims to redefine the Luxury All Inclusive concept on a global lever.

During the same period, the group quadrupled its earnings before taxes and depreciation, increased its average overnight rate by 75 percent, and achieved a seven-month occupancy rate of over 95 percent.

As of May 2020, the group will employ a total of 4,600 people against 1,800 in 2015, while the number of employees is expected to exceed 9,000 over the next five years, mainly due to the development of new hotel units in Greece and Iberia, and new investments that will exceed 800 million euros.

It should also be noted that the group is committed to offer sustainable holiday experiences through its Zero Carbon Footprint program, which aims to reduce energy and water consumption, waste and the use of single-use plastics.

The group’s resorts have received many distinctions. In 2019, Ikos Oceania and Ikos Olivia ranked first and second respectively on TripAdvisor’s lists of the Top 25 All-Inclusive Resorts in the World and in Europe.
