Held for the sixth consecutive year at Costa Navarino, the event once again has attracted the interest of the Greek and global shipping industry elite, an announcemnt said.
More than 65 leading executives of the Greek maritime industry are expected to form 20 teams (of four) and take part at the 6th consecutive and highly competitive golf tournament. Participants will compete at both team and individual levels in a shotgun scramble that will take place on Saturday, September 5th.
Golf enthusiasts will have the chance to compete in the two signature 18-hole courses, The Dunes Course and The Bay Course, in an idyllic landscape full of centuries-old olive trees with stunning views of the Ionian Sea, the historic Bay of Navarino and the picturesque port of Pylos.
Teams participating will claim the prizes for the top three positions in the overall standings; while special awards will be given to individual players who will achieve the best scores in the special categories “Longest Drive” and “Closest to the Pin”.
The high-profile tournament will demonstrate, its charitable character for another year, by supporting the union of non-profit NGOs “Mazi gia to Paidi” (“Together for Children”).
Greek Maritime Golf Event is organized by Birdie Events, an initiative of the recognized Greek PGA golfer, Thanos Karantzias. The top golf tournament is exclusively addressed to distinguished executives of the Greek shipping community.
