Crete’s Elounda Peninsula Hotel Undergoing Major Revamp

The Elounda Peninsula All Suite Hotel on Crete will soon complete the first phase of a full renovation project that includes the revamp of its accommodation facilities and public areas.

Set to be completed in April 2020, the project includes the rebuilding of 20 suites and villas, based on the highest standards of the international tourism industry; the addition of a new seaside 440sq.m. villa with a private pool and direct access to the sea; and the construction of two brand new swimming pools.

Estimated to exceed 7 million euros, the investment project is mainly financed with company funds.

The hotel’s revamp is a project by leading UK interior design company Wimberly Interiors, which has also collaborated with international hotel chains such as Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, St. Regis and others.

The design of the hotel’s exterior areas is being supervised by designer Christina Georgiadi.

According to an announcement by the hotel, Wimberly and Georgiadi worked with total respect for the original design of architect and owner of the Elounda Peninsula, Spyros Kokotos.

“Our parents have managed to make Elounda a top tourism destination thanks to their innovative ideas and attention to detail. And this is what we intend to continue doing… We owe it to ourselves but most of all to our guests to continue evolving,” said Ilias Kokotos, marketing director of Elounda Hotels & Resorts.

The Elounda Peninsula All Suite Hotel opened its doors in summer 2002 and immediately topped the preferences of the most demanding guests thanks to its unique seaside location, spacious suites and villas.
