Brown Hotels Expands to Greece, Reopens Acropol Hotel in Athens

Brown Hotels has announced its entry in the Greek hotel market with the opening – by the end of the year – of the iconic Acropol Hotel, located in Athens.

According to an announcement, the hotel will be rebranded to Brown Acropol, with the aim to re-establish the historic area of Omonia to the local and international tourism market.

The fully renovated hotel, with its 1960s architecture and design, will feature 165 rooms, conference rooms and a rooftop bar restaurant with breathtaking views of Athens.

Meanwhile, Brown Hotels has appointed Manolis Papadakis as General Manager of the Brown Acropol Hotel. Manolis has previously held the position of General Manager at leading hotel groups such as Helios Hotels & Resorts, Chandris Hotels & Resorts, Sani Resort and Grecotel Hotels & Resorts.

Brown Hotels has also appointed, for the regional office in Greece, the following senior executives: Dimitra Arida as Director of Sales & Marketing, Dionysis Maratos as Director of Human Resources and George Xydas as Director of Finance.

Brown Hotels is a Tel Aviv-based design hotel brand, operating the world-acclaimed Brown TLV, Brown Beach House, Poli House and the new young brand DAVE in the city of Tel Aviv, as well as Villa Brown and Villa Ba’Moshava in Jerusalem.

Other projects in the pipeline include hotels in Greece – Athens and Thessaloniki, Cyprus and Germany.
