The first Digital Marketing Academy for Hospitality (DMAH), launched exclusively for tourism professionals in Greece and Cyprus, was introduced to the media on Tuesday.

The academy, a synergy between the StudySmart training organization, Greek digital marketing agency Nelios and the Cyprus International Institute of Management, aims to address the gaps in the digital marketing skills of Greek tourism professionals.

“The changes that tourism has gone through in recent years mark the beginning of a new era in which hoteliers must change the way they do business and finally take the concept of ‘digital’ more seriously and incorporate it into their strategies so they can see more profit,” Nelios CEO Dimitris Serifis said.

According to Serifis, the biggest gap of Greek enterprises – that hinders their entry into the modern age – is education around advanced topics related to technology, sales and all the modern tools they need to learn and evaluate for their business strategies.

“We come to fill this gap with the DMAH, a synergy in which we have brought together practitioners who are experts on digital marketing for hospitality,” he added.

Authorized by the Digital Marketing Institute

In partnership with leading tourism professionals and under the authorization of the Digital Marketing Institute (DMI), the DMAH offers the “Certified Digital Marketing Professional in Hospitality (CDMP / H)”, a certification that gives the opportunity to professionals to apply dynamic digital marketing practices that will boost their services and increase their profit.

It is noted that the Digital Marketing Institute is the global certification standard in digital marketing education, producing more graduates trained to a single digital standard than any other certification body.

“The DMAH certificate is the first worldwide certificate for digital marketing in hospitality which is internationally recognized and carried out by market practitioners,” Serifis added.
