The Municipality of Karpathos has printed a new tourism/travel brochure with information on the island’s beauties, traditions and gastronomy in six languages.

Available in English, Greek, Italian, French, German and Polish, the brochure is part of the municipality’s tourism promotional activities for 2019 and will be distributed at international tourism exhibitions, events and presentations.

According to an announcement, the new brochure aims to cover the needs of travelers when seeking information on Karpathos, as well as assist the island’s tourism professionals and organizations in promoting the island.

“Combining texts with photographs and useful information, the 16-page brochure will provide travelers with the opportunity to ‘travel’ to the second largest island of the Dodecanese through six thematic sections dedicated to its tradition, beaches, gastronomy, activities, history and religion,” an announcement said.

The municipality has printed 12,000 copies of the new tourism/travel brochure.

“Taking part in international tourism exhibitions and presentations abroad; launching collaborations with international organizations and specialized PR agencies; and holding fam trips for tour operators and journalists, are just some of the projects that have been carried out by the Tourism Committee of the Karpathos Municipality until now,” the committee’s chairman Michalis Lytos said.

“We are certain that the new brochure will be a significant tool that will further support promotional efforts,” he added.
