Free Entrance to ‘Mykonos Palace’ Official Inauguration Ceremony on Crete

Passenger shipping company Minoan Lines on Sunday, September 16, will hold the official inauguration ceremony of its Mykonos Palace cruise ferry at the port of Souda, Crete, with free admission.

The newest and fastest ship of the Minoan Lines fleet, the Mykonos Palace recently began serving the Chania – Piraeus route.

“‘Dressed up’ for the occasion, the ship awaits visitors from 12 pm until 9 pm to attend a number of artistic surprises on board, tour its interior areas and enjoy the services offered by the trained staff,” the company said in an announcement.

Minoan Palace has been handling the Chania – Piraeus route daily since July. She can accommodate 1.922 passengers, 732 beds and 821 cars or 104 trucks and 110 cars. She features state-of-the-art security and navigation systems; modern cabins; self-service and a la carte restaurants; bars and lounges; a swimming pool; conference and shopping centers.

The ferry departs daily at 4 pm from the port of Piraeus, and at midnight from the port of Souda. The journey lasts six hours and 30 minutes.
