The 6th edition of “Navarino Challenge”, to take place October 12-14 in Messinia and Costa Navarino in the Peloponnese, continues with an addition to its ambassador list and the collection of more awards.

Joe Arlauckas, one of the biggest names in basketball and former ace of Real Madrid and Sacramento Kings, will be in Costa Navarino for “Navarino Challenge”.

“Apart from the beauty and serenity that Costa Navarino offers, I am so pleased to join such a special event like the ‘Navarino Challenge’ 2018. The location is perfect, and the idea is something that should be considered all over the world,” Arlauckas says.

At “Navarino Challenge”, the former basketball star intends to show off his golf secrets, a sport he has been involved in lately.

A world class event, which grows every year both in activities and participation numbers, “Navarino Challenge” was once again honored at the Sports Marketing Awards 2018 in the “Sports Tourism” category of the “Sports Events / Branded Events” section. The event also was awarded at the Digital Media Awards 2018 in the “Best Public Service / CSR Award” category of the “Digital Communication & Marketing” section.

According to an announcement, Navarino Challenge scooped the awards for enriching Greece’s sports tourism, extending the country’s tourism season and presenting Greece’s beauties all over the world.

The main activities of the “Navarino Challenge” include running, swimming and Stand Up Paddling (SUP) by BIC® Sport.

Registrations for the the event can be made here, via Viva, by phone at 11876, or through the pre-sale points of the Viva network. The deadline for registrations is August 31.

The participants of “Navarino Challenge” who will book their accommodation package in The Westin Resort Costa Navarino and choose to take part in the main activities – running, swimming, SUP – will also have the opportunity to enjoy free of charge the full activities program of the event.

The program for those staying at The Westin Resort Costa Navarino includes the activities of tae kwon do, climbing, cycling, pilates, basketball, golf, kick boxing, baby swimming, aqua aerobics, kids’ athletics, beach volley, tennis cross training, crossfit, beach yoga, boxing, survivor games for kids and demonstration race with optimist boats.
