Wyndham Opens First ‘Dolce Hotels’ International Franchise in Greece

Hospitality giant Wyndham Hotel Group on Monday announced the opening of the refurbished Dolce Attica Riviera hotel (former Mare Nostrum resort) on the eastern coast of Attica, in Vravrona. The new hotel is part of the world-renowned Dolce Hotels and Resorts brand, a member of Wyndham Hotel Group that has a global presence of over 8,400 hotels with 20 brands in 80 countries.

The opening of the first Dolce hotel in Greece is Wyndham’s first international franchise of the Dolce Hotels and Resorts brand.

“For all of us at Zeus International, the Dolce Attica Riviera is a reason to feel proud. Besides the fact that it is a ‘jewel’ for the wider area of East Attica, it is also Wyndham’s first Dolce brand franchise in the world,” said Harris Siganos, CEO of hotel management and consulting company Zeus International and Wyndham Hotel Group’s partner in Greece. Located near Athens International Airport, the Dolce Attica Riviera Hotel, consists of 346 spacious rooms, bungalows and suites and aims to offer ideal accommodation for both leisure and business travelers. The new hotel offers a plethora of modern amenities, a beach and stunning views to the area’s ancient sites.

“This is a brand new proposal just a few kilometers away from the urban center, which we are sure will be a reference point for the region’s tourism development and a major attraction for visitors who want to live a unique experience,” Siganos added.

The Dolce Attica Riviera is the latest addition to the growing portfolio of Wyndham Hotel Group in Greece, which also includes hotels in Athens and Loutraki.

“We are delighted to extend this brand to this exciting destination with our reputable partner Zeus International,” Edwin Broers, Regional Vice President of Central and Eastern Europe, Wyndham Hotel Group, said.

The Dolce Attica Riviera Hotel offers seven state-of-the-art meeting rooms that have a maximum capacity of 1,700 guests, making it an ideal choice for corporate or social events.

Also considered ideal for travelers seeking relaxation, the hotel offers spa services, including thalassotherapy seawater treatments, massages, facials and body treatments. In addition to a jacuzzi and steam rooms, the hotel provides a modern fitness center and a specially designed wellness program. The hotel offers Mediterranean cuisine selections at its four on-site Greek restaurants — Ammos, Thea, Filema A La Carte, Secret Restaurant — and refreshing cocktails at its three on-site bars — Ilios, Aria, Galaxy.

Wyndham Hotel Group, a subsidiary of Wyndham Worldwide, acquired the Dolce Hotels and Resorts hotel brand in 2015.
