Additional Flights, Bus and Train Routes for Greek Easter Exodus
The Easter exodus is currently underway and additional flights, bus and train routes have been announced to facilitate travelers.
According to reports, passenger traffic is up at Athens International Airport, as 2,630 flights have been scheduled for Greece and abroad, from Holy Wednesday until Easter Monday. Popular destinations among travelers include Crete, Santorini, Rhodes, Paros, Corfu, Thessaloniki and Larnaca.
Additional KTEL intercity bus routes have been scheduled from Athens to all destinations in Greece.
Railway operator TRAINOSE has also increased train routes across Greece, until Holy Saturday to facilitate, travelers.
Increased passenger traffic has also been observed at the ports of Piraeus, Rafina and Lavrio, due to the departure of travelers to the islands of the Saronic Gulf, the Aegean and the Dodecanese.
