British Airways has announced the launch of direct flights from London City airport to Skiathos island for summer 2017. The direct flights will begin June 26 and operate three times a week, offering more than two million seats for the summer season.
This is the third Greek Island route, alongside Mykonos and Santorini, launched from London City but the first time British Airways will fly to Skiathos, a destination renowned for its many pine forests and over 60 beaches.
“Our long standing history and relationship with Greece continues and we believe that our new flights to the island of Skiathos will give customers from around the world the ability to visit more exciting holiday destinations in Greece, as well as offering better connectivity to local travellers, via our hub at London”, Freddie Stier, British Airways’ Commercial Manager Greece, Turkey and Cyprus, said.
The London City – Skiathos service will run until the end of September.
