Sani Fest 2016 Brings Diverse Int’l Artists to the Stage
Aptly described as a “feast for music and culture”, organizers of the 24th Sani Festival, to be held in Halkidiki this summer, presented last week the full program of events and concerts suited to all tastes.
Kicking off on July 8 and running through to August 13, the Sani Festival 2016 includes everything from eclectic jazz and classical music to up-and-coming artists of the international scene as well as much-loved local performers. Among them British artist Joss Stone on July 29, UK violin virtuoso Daniel Hope on August 13, promising German jazz pianist Michael Wollny on July 8, Israeli pianist Yaron Herman on July 9, and Japanese multi-faceted musical figure Hiromi, among others.
The festival will, of course, include acclaimed Greek performers among them Alkistis Protopsalti, Eleni Vitali and Dionysis Savvopoulos.
“At this year’s 24th edition of the Sani Festival we are seeking to expand the artistic limits between searching and reconnecting,” the festival’s artistic director, Olga Tambouri-Babali, said of this year’s programme.
