“Grekland Panorama” Invites All To Experience Greece Like Never Before

grekland-panorama_globe-arenasPANORAMA-cyclades-_greklandThe first dedicated travel and taste fair for Greece is getting ready to open in the heart of Stockholm, the buzzing capital of Scandinavia, and offer a true Greek experience to visitors and tourism professionals.

The travel fair Grekland Panorama will take place 14-16 February 2014 at venue Globe Arenas, Annexete, and feature a number of Greek hotels, travel agencies, destinations, services, real estate, traditional gastronomy, tastings and more.

Grekland Panorama will host more than 100 exhibitors from Greece representing destinations and businesses. The main sectors to be presented at the fair are tourism, gastronomy and culture.

Major tour operators of the Nordic market such as  Apollo Kuoni, Airtours, Ving, Solresor, Tema Resor and TUI Fritidsresor are supporting Grekland Panorama and are expected to give an impressive showing. Special offers for travel packages to Greece will be available exclusively during the fair.

Key events

Greek Gastronomy
sympossio-panorama_2On 14 February, a networking event between Greek tourism professionals and tour operators, travel agencies and airlines active in the Nordic markets will take place. During the event, the chefs of the “Sympossio Greek Gourmet Touring” initiative will take guests on a journey through taste. Sympossio’s menu will include traditional Greek dishes cooked with traditional pure materials.

On 15 February, Sympossio will hold another culinary show, this time for visitors to the fair.

Also, FONTANA taste corners will be scattered throughout the fair to give a true Greek tasting experience. Cooking recipes, free samplings of traditional Greek products and tastings from local traditional ingredients will be offered throughout the fair. Fontana Food AB is one of the fair’s main supporters.

Greek Night
Gravas_AlexandraAlso on 14 February, renowned Greek mezzo soprano Alexandra Gravas will give an exclusive performance at the opening “Greek Night” gala event for Grekland Panorama’s invited VIPs guests, media and professionals from the country’s tourism industry. The gala will be dedicated to Athens and Attica.

During the two days that the event will be open to the public (free entrance), the 3,000 sq.m. exhibition space will be filled with images, sounds and tastes of Greece, with numerous parallel events, contests and activities for all.

Grekland Panorama is organized by North Events, a company specializing in promoting Greek tourism, gastronomy and culture in the Scandinavian market.

The fair is supported by the the Greek Tourism Ministry, the Greek National Tourism Organization, the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, the Hellenic Federation of Hoteliers and the Hellenic-Swedish Chamber of Commerce.
