IMIC 2013 To Be Held On Santorini This Fall
Heliotopos Conferences has announced that the 8th edition of the International Meetings and Incentives Conference (IMIC) series will take place on the island of Santorini this fall.
“During the two previous IMIC’s (2012 and 2011) we covered all theoretical issues in relation to tourism and gastronomy, followed many very interesting presentations and learned of sole business efforts on the matter,” Heliotopos said in an announcement.
IMIC 2013 will seek to identify and discuss the necessary “next step” and the experience gained from the success of the “2013 Year of Gastronomy in Santorini” will be very useful to this effort.
IMIC 2013, entitled “Tourism and Gastronomy: Moving Forward,” will take place 17-18 October 2013 on Santorini and will be one of the “key” actions of the “2013 Year of Gastronomy in Santorini” initiative.
According to Heliotopos, this is a complex and multidimensional initiative that connects the island’s glory era of the prehistoric times of Akrotiri with today and highlights the specificity and fertility of the volcanic soil of Santorini.
“Thus, apart from the obvious, that is the food and wine itself, this idea also relates to arts, tradition, education, scientific documentation and culture in general,” Heliotopos said.
IMIC 2013 will bring together top tourism industry professionals to discuss new ideas, increase expertise and offer tips for high quality incentive travel.
