AEGEAN Adds 4th Daily Flight to London Heathrow
Greek carrier AEGEAN has added a fourth flight from Athens to London’s Heathrow Airport after securing another slot at the UK’s most important international hub.
The new flight significantly expands the choices of passengers, while improving connectivity to the Greek islands via Athens and will operate daily, except Saturday, with departure times from Athens at 16.00 local and from London/Heathrow at 19.00 local.
Bookings for the flight will open on the airline’s website on March 6, and it will run from March 31, all year round (summer and winter).
Additionally, Aegean increases the frequency of flights to other major European cities, such as Frankfurt with 5 daily flights (2 from/to Athens, 2 from/to Thessaloniki, 1 from/to Heraklion), Larnaca with 8 flights (7 from/to Athens, 1 from/to Thessaloniki), Rome, Zurich, Geneva, Paris, and Berlin.
Along with the new destination, Dubai, the airline offers passengers even more choices while contributing to the effort to extend the season.
Recently, Aegean unveiled a new partnership with Eurowings aiming to promote codeshare flights and enhance leisure and business travel between Greece and Germany.
In the first 2 months of 2024, a significant increase in passenger traffic is already being recorded, both on the domestic network by 11% and on the international network by 7% compared to 2023.
