Popular singer Robbie Williams kept Greeks on their toes during his sold-out concert at the TerraVibe theater in Malakasa in Greece as part of this year’s Rockwave Festival.
The 49-year-old Williams, who first appeared in Athens in 2015, expressed his love for the country on stage: “God Bless You Greece” and via his Instagram account: “Greece: thank you for last night. It was beautiful. I love you, Rob x”.
Besides his spectacular show which included favorite hits like “Feel”, “Let Me Entertain You”, “I Love My Life”, “Angels”, “Come Undone” and “Me and My Monkey”, Williams shared jokes with the cheering crowds while admitting to his struggle with depression and how the support of his family saved him.
This year’s RockWave Festival runs through July 9 and includes international acts including Mika, Deep Purple, Saxon, The Black Keys, James Bay as well as Greek bands.
Williams started his career as a member of pop group Take That and went solo in 1996. He has received 18 Brit Awards, eight German ECHO Awards, and three MTV European Music Awards.
