The Athens Flair hotel, a landmark neoclassical building in the Kolonaki district, recently opened its rooftop to its guests, offering them a new spot to unwind during the day or kick back and enjoy a cocktail at night.
The news was announced during a rooftop summer party, overlooking Lycabettus Hill, held by Greek hotel sales management company Hotelising that manages the hotel.

Hotelising Founder & CEO Katerina Petropoulou with the company’s Petros D. Bazakos (Sales & Reservations Executive), Anna Papasifaki (Sales & Reservations Executive), Katerina Ginis (Marketing Manager) and Anna Partheniadou (Sales and Reservations Executive).
A boutique hotel that opened its doors last summer, the Athens Flair consists of six luxury rooms and suites of exceptional design. The opening of its rooftop for guests is one more addition to the hotel’s offering that aims to provide its guests with unique experiences, says Katerina Petropoulou, owner of Hotelising.
“The Athens Flair is an ideal destination for every traveler, welcoming them in an elegant environment, designed to offer the ultimate hospitality experience in Athens,” she said.
At the moment, the rooftop is open only for the hotel’s guests. However, it will soon be available to function as a venue for cocktail or business events of up to 70 people. Bespoke menus by a well-known chef will be available for private events.

The Athens Flair
Considered an architectural neoclassical masterpiece right in the center of Athens, the Athens Flair is located at the corner of Delfon and Didotou streets in the upscale district of Kolonaki.

The former private residence of Greek actress Ellie Lambeti, the historic building dates back to the 19th century and today perfectly blends its rich heritage with contemporary elegance and modern comforts, as every detail has been carefully considered.
The construction of the original building dates back to 1880-1889 and was designed by Danish architect Theophil Edvard Freiherr von Hansen, a renowned representative of neoclassicism.
In 1985 the building was classified as a work of art by the Greek Culture Ministry thanks to its architectural merit and prominent location. It is a listed building under Law 1469/50 that needs special state protection.
In 2015 it was sold to a real estate company for 4.5 million euros. Following a very careful renovation that was supervised by the Directorate for the Preservation of Ancient and Modern Monuments, the building was transformed into a hotel and opened in 2022 under the management of Hotelising.
“Τhe property has been transformed into a luxury accommodation with six suites and a roof garden on the top floor with great views and at the same time honors the building’s history and architecture,” Petropoulou said, adding that the beauty of the building’s original design has not been altered.
The Athens Flair has high ceilings and large rooms. Its decor includes comfortable sofas, bold colors, green granite surfaces and floor plants. The hotel’s wooden floor creaks slightly but that is a detail that just adds something extra to its “flair”.
The Athens Flair offers free wifi, room service and free transfer to and from Athens International Airport (AIA), which is 28 kilometers away.
Popular points of interest near the hotel include the Museum of Cycladic Art and Syntagma Square.
Based in Athens since 2012, Hotelising is a dynamic hotel sales management company that specializes on increasing revenue for its partner hotels. The company’s portfolio includes 19 hotels in Greece, many of which are known for their high quality architecture.
