UK’s Newmarket Adds New Guided Trips to Greece for 2024
British tour operator Newmarket Holidays has added more guided and escorted trips to Greece in 2024 and extra capacity on popular options introduced in 2023 as part of its new European program released this week.
The new “Ancient Greece Uncovered” aims to introduce British travelers to Greek culture and landmarks. The eight-day trip with a starting price of 1,296 pounds includes stays in Athens and Thessaloniki and guided tours to important Ancient Greek sites including the Temple of Apollo in Delphi, the Acropolis in Athens, and the monasteries in Meteora.
Newmarket will also be boosting its activities in Portugal in 2024 with the addition of the “Flavors of the Douro” tours.
“Our global 2024 itineraries have been on sale for a while and customers have been booking well ahead. With our full range of European tours now accessible for the coming year, we expect our agent partners to benefit from another spike in bookings,” said Verity Rice, Product, Purchasing and Operations director for Newmarket Holidays.
Newmarket said it was offering a 15 percent discount on selected best-selling itineraries, giving agents an opportunity as of June 30 to secure early bookings.
Greece is expecting tourist arrivals from the UK to break all records this year.
More than 4 million travelers from the UK are set to visit in the coming months surpassing last year’s figures thanks to the addition of more flights to more destinations.
At the same time, Greece is considered to be one of the most affordable countries for UK retirees thanks to its fair weather and cheaper prices, according to life insurance broker Reassured.
