‘Katikies’ Hotels on Santorini and Mykonos Awarded 5-Star Rating by Forbes Travel Guide
Katikies Santorini and Katikies Mykonos, members of the Katikies hospitality group portfolio in Greece, were awarded a 5-Star rating by Forbes Travel Guide’s 2023 Star Awards.
Forbes Travel Guide (FTG), an independent, global rating system for luxury hotels, restaurants and spas unveiled its 65th Star Awards which featured 360 hotels worldwide winning a 5-Star rating among a total of 1956 global winners which also included restaurants, spas and cruises.
“Travel is in an incredible position for continued growth, as people prioritize authentic, in-person experiences,” said Amanda Frasier, President of Ratings for Forbes Travel Guide.
“The hotels, ocean cruises, restaurants and spas on our 2023 Star Rating list demonstrate an impressive commitment to creating memorable environments that nurture connection, joy and sense of place as we experience the world to its fullest,” Frasier added.
Katikies Santorini and Katikies Mykonos, were among Greece’s four luxury hotels and resorts that won FTG’s 5-Star Rating.
FTG’s inspectors visited the hotels as anonymous guests last year and assessed their overall service and facility.
According to FTG’s ranking a 5-Star Rating means a property is “outstanding and iconic with virtually flawless service and amazing facilities.”
Besides the star-awarded recognition, both hotels won the Luxury and Health Security Verified budges.
Katikies Santorini
FTG refers to Katikies Santorini as “a whitewashed Santorini oasis which ensures dramatic panoramas from every vantage point, no matter which of the minimalist, all-white accommodations you choose.”
Its inspectors highlighted its three infinity pools; ideal, yet “secret”, location near Oia’s main promenade; Anatolian history inspired Mikrasia restaurant and guest-tailored archaeological and wine tasting tours, among other amenities.
Katikies Mykonos
Katikies Mykonos, located above the Agios Ioannis bay on Mykonos, was characterized by FTG as a “tranquil, chic refuge”.
FTG’s inspectors hailed the hotel’s offering of stylish suites with a private pool as well as the view of the historic Delos Island from its infinity pools.
Katikies Mykonos’ Mikrasia restaurant and A.Spa also got praise for their sophisticated culinary variety and individual wellness treatments respectively.
Last autumn, both properties were listed among the “15 best hotels in Greece” list of Condé Nast Traveler’s Reader’s Choice Awards.
