‘Thessaloniki: A Thousand Views, ONE CLICK!’ – Photo Contest
A photo competition aiming to reflect Thessaloniki’s creative and original vibe and promote the city’s European Information Center has been recently announced.
Entitled “Thessaloniki: A thousand views, ONE CLICK!”, the competition will run until November 26 and is co – organized by the local European Information Center EUROPE DIRECT office and the Public Benefit Enterprise of the Municipality of Thessaloniki (KEDITH).
Founded in January 2018, the center operates under the auspices of the European Commission and is part of a pan-European network of over 424 centers in EU’s 27 Member States, of which 15 are in Greece.
Contest for all photographers
The photo competition invites photographers, amateurs and non-artists to capture Thessaloniki’s multicultural historic and contemporary ambience.
Photos must be submitted by November 26.
The winning photos will be selected after evaluation by a three-member committee. The public’s vote will also be decisive, in the form of notifications (share) on Facebook and the display of preference (like and comment) on Instagram.
The first three winning photos will be printed in postcard size and distributed throughout Thessaloniki to promote the efforts of the European Information Center Thessaloniki-KEDITH.
The three highest rated photos (40 percent audience vote and 60 percent committee score) will be announced on the social media of EUROPE DIRECT Thessaloniki-KEDITH and on the website of KEDITH on December 4.
All photos received will be posted on the center’s social media as stories and will be listed in a digital publication on the website of KEDITH with the names of their photographers.
