Travel+Leisure Names the 10 Best Resorts in Greece for 2022

The Travel + Leisure (T+L) magazine recently revealed the “10 Best Resorts in Greece” for 2022, as voted by its readers during this year’s World’s Best Awards survey.

Most of the luxury hotels included on the list are located on Mykonos and Santorini. In fact, eight of the 10 winners can be found on those two islands.

“The Greek Islands have a way of captivating travelers from the moment they disembark the ferry — so much so that many visitors choose to return to the archipelago repeatedly over the years,” T+L says.

The best resorts in Greece, according to Travel + Leisure readers, maximize their locations to offer unspoiled sunsets and sea views.

The Grace Hotel, Auberge Resorts Collection on Santorini tops the 2022 list with a score of 99.22/100 points.

The Andronis hotel group has also made several appearances on the list, with its Andronis Boutique Hotel ranking seventh and the Andronis Luxury Suites ninth.

Other hotel groups making strong showings are the Canaves group with Canaves Oia Epitome (third) and Canaves Oia Boutique Hotel (sixth), both on Santorini; and the Katikies group, with Katikies Santorini (fourth) and Katikies Mykonos (fifth).

The list also includes the Sani Asterias (second) in Halkidiki, and the Blue Palace Elounda (eighth) on Crete.

To compile its annual World’s Best Awards survey, T+L asks readers to weigh in on travel experiences around the globe and share their opinions on the top hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise ships, spas, airlines, and more. Hotels (including safari lodges) were rated on their facilities, location, service, food, and overall value. Properties were classified as a city hotel, resort, or safari lodge based on their locations and amenities.

The 3 Best Hotels in Athens

Meanwhile, Travel + Leisure has also revealed the three best hotels in Athens.

The Hotel Grande Bretagne tops the list with a score of 93.72 points, while its sister property, the King George Hotel, ranks third with 91.50 points.

The Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens is in the second spot with 93.14 points.
