The Acropolis Museum in Athens is organizing a number of events for its visitors to mark the celebrations for this year’s European Night of Museums (May 14) and International Museum Day (May 18).

European Night of Museums

On Saturday, May 14, the museum has announced that it will participate in the events for the European Night of Museums with extended opening hours – from 8am until 12 midnight – and free entry from 8pm onwards.

The museum’s restaurant will remain open during the same hours.

Visitors will be able to admire by night the masterpieces of the museum’s collections, while on the same day, within the context of the initiative What does the Acropolis Museum mean to you?, the most representative answers of visitors received recently by the museum will be projected on a big screen.
