Prestige Travel Goes Green, Moves to Co-working Space

Prestige Travel, an Athens-based travel agency, tour operator and DMC, entered 2022 by moving to a co-working space.

The company’s new office space is located in Spaces Ermou on 56, Ermou Street, in the city center.

“This is a place that shares our philosophy and values: respect for people, materials and the environment,” the company’s management said in an announcement.

Green co-working spaces unite the individuals who collaborate to reduce their carbon footprint. A common space can help us all do it in a much more efficient way. Private office spaces, co-working spaces, meetings rooms, gym facilities and group classes can all be in one environmentally friendly place.”

Promoting wellness at work

According to Prestige Travel, the workplace is crucial for the quality of life and wellbeing of all.

“The work environment should be a place where employees can feel comfortable, valued, and nurtured… We wish to offer a space to anyone who feels the need to work away from home, in a friendly and multipurpose environment among other motivated individuals,” the company’s management said.

Prestige Travel’s change of work space is part of the company’s ‘Go Green’ strategy launched in its aim to commit to sustainable development.

In 2021 the company went paperless and is happy to announce that it only used one kilo of paper the entire year.

“Manufacturing paper products produce greenhouse gases, causing deforestation and global warming. Recycling can offset some of the environmental impact, but not by much,” the company’s management said.

Moreover, the company’s staff only travels with vehicles that use AdBlue technology, a diesel exhaust fluid used in vehicles with Selective Catalytic Reduction technology to reduce harmful gases being released into the atmosphere.

“These small changes do make an impact… For years, our company has cherished and admired our wonderful nature. It’s time that we start giving back to the environment.”
