Radisson Blu Park Hotel: Kick Back, Relax at St’Astra Blue Rooftop Restaurant

The Radisson Blu Park Hotel is inviting Athens’ residents and visitors to kick back and relax at the St’Astra Blue Rooftop Restaurant on its ninth floor.

“Radisson Blu Park Hotel welcomes Athenian summer with hospitality services and a sense of responsibility for its loyal members and thousands of visitors,” the hotel’s management said in an announcement.

St’Astra Blue, the hotel’s open-air restaurant-bar operates on the last floor by the pool. It offers 360° views of Athens and Pedion tou Areos, one of the city’s largest parks; the Lycabettus hill; the Acropolis; the mountains of Parnitha and Hymmettus; and the Saronic gulf.

In the morning the rooftop is open for swimming, coffee and snacks.

In the evening, St’Astra Blue offers cool summer nights by the pool, with a view of the city’s lights – “a unique relaxation experience near the center of the Greek capital”.

Curated by chef Dimitris Kantarakis, the restaurant’s menu consists of excellent raw materials. Guests can start with fish ceviche, scallops and shrimp with mango or octopus and a warm salad with soy sauce and ginger.

They can also try the juicy and tender chicken fillet with celery root salad and basil pesto; the sea bass fillet; the royal quinoa with oil and lemon or the delicious beef fillet;  grilled mushrooms; rocca salad; parmesan and gravy sauce.

For a “sweet” end, they can try the yogurt mousse with meringue and lavender syrup.

Moreover, at the elegant upper deck – the rooftop’s highest area – operates the open bar which offers cool cocktails but also binoculars for guests to enjoy the stunning view.
