Giorgos Koubenas Appointed President of Greece’s Cruise Ship Owners Union
Captain Giorgos Koubenas has taken on the role of the new president of Greece’s Union of Cruise Ship Owners and Maritime Agencies (EEKFN). He succeeds Theodore Kontes who was at the helm for the last 10 years.
Elected during the Union’s recent annual general assembly, the new BoD is as follows:

In an announcement, the union’s new president informed that the new BoD includes representatives from all areas of Greece’s maritime activity that actively contribute to the operation of the multidimensional cruise sector.
“I am certain that, with the experience we have on various issues, we will continue our efforts to successfully resolve matters that concern the maritime sector, and contribute to the provision of better services for ships and management companies, always in line with the latest developments, advancements in technology and the rules of the international free market,” Giorgos Koubenas said.
