TripAdvisor: Best Hotels in Greece on 2020 Travelers’ Choice Awards List

Over 20 Greek hotels, located in some of the country’s most popular tourism destinations, are included on the 2020 Travelers’ Choice Awards for Hotels list, which was recently released by travel planning and booking site TripAdvisor.
Greece’s Sani Dunes, Ikos Dassia and Ikos Olivia resorts of the Sani/Ikos Group are among the top hotels in the world and in Europe.
More specifically, Ikos Dassia on Corfu, ranks 18th on the Top 25 Hotels in the World list and fourth in the Top 25 Hotels in Europe list.
Sani Dunes is on the 19th spot on the Top 25 Hotels in the World list and 5th among the Top 25 Hotels in Europe.
Furthermore, Ikos Olivia ranks 9th on the Top 25 Hotels in Europe list.
For the 18th year, the Travelers’ Choice award winners were determined based on the millions of reviews and opinions collected in 2019 – prior to the coronavirus pandemic – from TripAdvisor travelers worldwide.

What’s new in the 2020 Travelers’ Choice Awards
This year, Tripadvisor awards and recognitions fall under the Travelers’ Choice umbrella to more clearly acknowledge businesses and their achievements: Travelers’ Choice winners are now honored as Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best, representing the most exceptional, highest-rated properties around the world.
These businesses are among the top 1 percent of all listings on Tripadvisor.
In the hospitality sector, the awards recognized the best properties worldwide in the categories of Top Hotels, Small, Luxury, Bargain, Best Service, Romance, B&Bs and Inns, Family, and All-Inclusive, while TripAdvisor has added two new categories: The Boutique Luxury includes five-star hotels offering comfort and style, and the Most Saved features bucket-list properties that travelers saved more than any others in 2019.

Viroth’s Hotel in Siem Reap, Cambodia, has been named top hotel in the world, while the Quinta Jardins do Lago in Funchal, Portugal, topped the list of the best hotels in Europe.
