AEGEAN to Gradually Restore Flights to European Destinations
AEGEAN Airlines on Monday said that it is ready to gradually restore, in the coming weeks and months, its network to European destinations.
The first destinations AEGEAN will begin flights to from Athens in the coming days, initially with low frequency, include Munich, Frankfurt, Geneva and Zurich.
AEGEAN will also increase the frequency of its flights to Brussels, which had not stopped during the period of travel restrictions.
“Soon other destinations will follow,” said AEGEAN CEO Dimitris Gerogiannis in a letter sent to customers.
AEGEAN has already started to activate its domestic flights, following the gradual lifting of Covid-19 restrictions in Greece.
Flexible ticketing policy
The company also informed that it is also introducing a flexible ticketing policy. All tickets purchased from May 18 until June 15, regardless of the travel date, will have the features of the FLEX fare category, which allows passengers to change their tickets without rebooking fees.
Safety measures
Moreover, AEGEAN has introduced strict safety measures at the gate and onboard.
Passengers and crew are now obliged to wear face masks and only one personal item will be allowed in the cabin. Also, the last 3 rows of seats on the company’s aircraft will be left vacant in case the need of isolating a passenger (producing coronavirus symptoms) occurs.
AEGEAN will soon send all its customers information on all its safety measures and the new procedures the company is applying within the framework of the new health protocols for travel.
