Attica Region Invites Arab Travelers to Greece  

Attica Tourism Directorate representatives were in Qatar recently to present the region’s wide range of luxury tourism options in efforts to attract higher spending travelers.

Participating in this year’s Greek Tourism Workshop held in Doha, Attica Region Tourism Directorate head Athina Kolyva introduced local tourism professionals to the wide array of bespoke holiday options available in Attica all year round.

Organized by the Greek Tourism Ministry and the Greek Embassy in Doha, with the support of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), the Greek Tourism Workshop attracted leading tour operators, agents and stakeholders from major Arab markets, including Salfo & Associates SA, Al Sulaiman Holidays, Continental Tourism Network, ITL World Travel Management, Luxury Travel & Tours, Mannai Holidays, Arabian Link Travel, and Safe Travel & Tourism.

Addressing the event, Kolyva elaborated on the competitive advantages of the region for VIP and high-income visitors. She went on to highlight the diverse range of high quality luxury products, services and experiences available in the region, including the Athens city break, the Athenian Riviera and the nearby Saronic islands, culture, gastronomy, shopping, yachting and sailing options.

Besides holding a number of B2B meetings, Kolyva also spoke to the local media.

The Greek Tourism Workshop came to a close with a gala event.
