Rhodes Ready to Host 3rd Architecture and Tourism Conference
Architecture and its connection with tourism will be the focus of the 3rd Architecture and Tourism Conference to be held on the island of Rhodes on October 20-21.
Organized by Berlin-based Design Ambassador and archisearch.gr with the support of the Dodecanese Architects Association and the Dodecanese Technical Chamber, the 3rd Architecture and Tourism Conference will be hosted by the five-star Rodos Palace Hotel and brings together experts from the fields of architecture and tourism offering insight into the latest trends, design concepts and innovation.
This year the two-day conference comes with a “London air” as many of the attending speakers will be presenting the British capital’s newest fads.
“Our goal is to establish worldwide conferences that will explore the interaction between architecture and tourism and attract visitors, including hoteliers, architects and tourism professionals from across the globe,” said Vassilios Bartzokas, CEO of Design Ambassador, overseeing the event on behalf of archisearch.gr.
Speakers this year include ο Tom Lindblom, hospitality leader and studio director for Gensler, Margarita Boulaki on behalf of Squire and Partners, Ioanna Mitropoulou representing Ennismore, Fletcher Priest’s urban designer Dimitris Grozopoulos, who is also the founder and chief editor of archstudies.gr working with archisearch.gr to promote architecture and design in Greece and abroad.
Meanwhile, workshops will focus on new trends in holiday accommodation, supply and demand, architecture and social media, the importance of photography in architecture, Instagram as a marketing and communication tool, and ways to boost social media feed.
Admission to the workshops is free but requires pre-registration on Eventora. For more details on speakers and program go here.
