NJV Athens Plaza

The NJV Athens Plaza, located in the heart of the Greek capital, has become a member of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).

“This accomplishment once more confirms the continuous commitment of NJV Athens Plaza to sustainability. Our aim is to maximize the social and financial benefits for the local community; support cultural heritage and reduce any negative impact on the environment,” the hotel’s management said in an announcement.

NJV Athens Plaza is the first hotel in Europe to join GSTC.

The Global Sustainable Tourism Council establishes and manages global sustainable standards for destinations, tour operators and hotels. These are the guiding principles and minimum requirements that any tourism business or destination should aspire to reach in order to protect and sustain the world’s natural and cultural resources, while ensuring tourism meets its potential as a tool for conservation and poverty alleviation.

The NJV Athens Plaza is located at central Syntagma Square. Offering high-quality services since 1980, the hotel includes 162 rooms and 18 suites with high standard amenities; venues suitable for meetings, events and conferences that can host up to 350 persons; the a la carte restaurant “The Parliament” offering Mediterranean cuisine; “The Explorer’s Bar” and the “Plaza Café”.
