Following extensive renovation works, the “Ballroom” conference hall of the Crowne Plaza Athens City Center hotel, located in the center of the Greek capital, has reopened featuring a modern design and state-of-the-art equipment.

“Totally refurbished and impressively modern in aesthetics and equipment, the Ballroom is a venue of 895 square meters, ready to host congresses, business meetings and social events,” Moussamas Bros SA, the hotel’s owner, said in an announcement.

The renovation of Crowne Plaza Athens’ largest events venue, was carried out by Harry Papaioannou & Associates, which specializes in architecture and landscape design.

The new design of the foyer’s roof was inspired by the origami technique and consists of triangle pieces. The lights can change colors and transform the venue according to the needs of each event. Every room has been designed with the maximum flexibility offering a number of lighting options.

Cutting edge technology features also include a video wall; TV screens and ceiling projectors in every room; flexible LCD announcement boards; the matrix system; high-quality sound and lighting systems, and cell phone charging stations using wireless technology.

“The technology, equipment, aesthetics and excellent staff are at our customers’ disposal for any type of event,” the announcement said.

The Crowne Plaza Athens City Center is located in the center of Athens, within easy reach of the city’s ancient sites, and a short walk from the Megaro Moussikis metro station.

Its soundproof rooms come with luxury amenities, digital media hubs and LCD TVs.

Furthermore, the hotel’s luxury facilities include the elegant Ambrosia Restaurant with great views, seasonal Greek and international cuisine; the Nectar bar; a fitness center, and an outdoor pool.
