China’s Hainan Airlines Celebrates 25th Anniversary at Athens Event
Hainan Airlines, a leading Chinese carrier, recently celebrated 25 years of service during an event that took place in Athens.
Held at the Vouliagmeni Nautical Club, the event was attended by tourism professionals, leading Greek travel agents, as well as media representatives, who had the opportunity to learn more on the company’s itineraries, history and fleet, and obtain information on the Fortune Wings Club – Frequent Flying Program, by Dinos Frantzeskakis the general manager of Discover the World Greece & Cyrpus, the General Sales Agent (GSA) of Hainan in Greece.
The Fortune Wings Club is currently run by Hainan Airlines and other Chinese carriers including Hong Kong Airlines, Grand China Air and Lucky Air. It offers travelers with the option to earn a generous amount of points from flights, hotel stays, car rentals, credit card use and redeem on award tickets and upgrades, hotel stays, car rentals or a selection of gifts for personal use, family members and friends.
Based at the Haiku Meilan International Airport in China, Hainan Airlines is currently flying to 90 cities with 500 domestic and international itineraries, connecting China with the rest of Asia, North America, Oceania and Europe. It has also established 24 bases in some of the country’s major airports including Beijing and Shanghai. Its fleet consists of Boeing 737 and 787; Dreamliner Boeing 787-8 and 787-9, and Airbus 330 aircraft.
