Santorini’s Mystique and Vedema Among Top Greek Hotels for 2018

Mystique and Vedema, Luxury Collection Resorts, located in Oia on the popular island of Santorini, have won multiple gold and silver awards at the Greek Hospitality Awards 2018, during a ceremony recently held in Athens.

Held for the fourth year, the Greek Hospitality Awards recognize excellence among Greek hotels and tourism enterprises.

More specifically, both hotels received one of the highest honors, the silver award in the Top Greek Hotel 2018 category.

Mystique also won two gold awards as the Best Greek Excellence in Service Hotel and Best Greek Romantic Resort.

Furthermore, Vedema won a gold award in the Best Greek Boutique Resort category and a silver award in the Best International Hotel Brand category.

Overlooking the turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea, Mystique, A Luxury Collection Hotel includes 40 suites perched on the edge of the caldera, also offering a stunning view to the Santorini volcano. “It is a unique setting, which provides guests with tranquility and discreet quality, also making it a popular destination for honeymoons and romantic escapes,” the awards hosts, journalist Charis Digrintakis and Ethos Media ‎digital marketing and events executive Christina Tsouchlari said during the ceremony.

Furthemore, Vedema, A Luxury Collection Resort is located in the medieval village of Megalohori, and surrounded by the famous Santorini vineyards. The property has been transformed from a 400-year-old winery and a 100-year-old mansion into a resort, also maintaining its authentic Cycladic style.

Its 46 suites and villas are currently known for offering a unique, luxury experience.

Organized by Ethos Events and Hrima Magazine, the Greek Hospitality Awards 2018 gala dinner took place at the Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso on the Athenian Riviera in the presence of 400 hospitality and tourism officials and professionals. The winners were selected based on the votes of the judging committee (60 percent), which consisted of leading tourism professionals, and on the public’s vote (40 percent).
