The Kalamaki Beach Hotel, located near the Isthmus of Corinth, is supporting the Ancient Mycenaean Trail Run 2018, which will take place for a second year on March 18, in the area of Argolida in the Peloponnese.

Starting from the Lion Gate of the ancient city of Mycenae near Mount Tritos and ending in ancient Tenea near Corinth, the 22 km run will be conducted on the well-preserved ancient Mycenaean highway, which connected Mycenae with the ports of Corinth and the Saronic Gulf. It was part of a well-designed road network built in the 13th century BC to secure the connection between cities and regions, as well as for defense purposes.

During the Ancient Mycenaean Trail Run participants will pass by various landmark sites including byzantine monuments, the Stephanion Observatory, the medieval castle of Agionori, ancient Tenea, as well as the villages of Stephanion, Klenia and Chiliomodi.
