A number of Greek hotels, travel agencies, associations and destinations are participating in this year’s East Mediterranean Tourism and Travel Exhibition – EMITT and will show their best to international industry professionals and Turkish consumers.
EMITT, recognized as one of the top five tourism exhibitions in the world, will open its doors on Thursday January 28 at Tuyap Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul. Celebrating its 20th year, EMITT 2016 will welcome a total of 4,500 companies, organizations and resorts from a total of 80 countries.
All Greek participants will be located under one roof in a stand organized and supervised exclusively by event organizers Aegean Communication S.A. in Hall 2 of the exhibition. Over the last 5 years Aegean Communication has operated almost exclusively in the promotion of Greek enterprises to the Turkish market.
A series of B2B meetings between Greek exhibitors and Turkish travel agencies and tour operators at the EMITT 2016 will also take place organized by hospitality consultants and event organizers Respond On Demand.

Greek companies and destinations participating in this year’s EMITT expo include Airotel Group, Beleon Tours, Alexander Beach Hotel & Casino Thraki, Filos Holidays & Travel, Grand Resort Lagonissi, Inova Hospitality Management, Kavala Municipality, Kavala Chamber of Commerce, Kosinfo, Kyvernitis Travel, Lafasi Maritime Company, Meli Tours, Nestosdevelopent, North Aegean Island Tourism Office, Pieria – Olympos Hoteliers Association, Porto Carras, Respond On Demand, Santorini island, Smart Expo & Design, Stathokostopoulos Group, Sunrise Tours, Thessaloniki Hotels Association, Thrace Hoteliers Association, Tourism Development Committee of Paggaio, Tourism Organization of Thassos and Visit Halkidiki – Halkidiki Tourism Organization.
The 19th EMITT Exhibition, held in January 2015, hosted a total of 142,100 visitors with the participation of 71 countries and 4,550 organizations, companies and resorts.
EMITT 2016 will run until January 31.
