Greece Expects More Brazilian Tourists This Year
Greece is tapping further in the Brazilian market and recently participated in the World Travel Market Latin America, held on April 22-24 in Sao Paulo.
The secretary general of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), Panos Livadas, represented Greece and held a series of meetings with leading Brazilian tour operators that specialize in luxury and religious tourism such as CVC, Queensberry, Designer Tours and Flot.
The Greek delegation also met with the Brazilian Tour Operators Association (BRAZTOA) and the Executive Director for Operational Programmes and Institutional Relations at the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Márcio Favilla Lucca de Paula.
According to the GNTO, travel agents expect a rise in tourists from Brazil to Greece this season. Last year, arrivals of Brazilians in Greece almost doubled compared to 2013.
