“Tinos is one of the major destinations (of Greece) that attracts many visitors and has increased religious tourism,” said the company’s CEO, Nikolas Charalambous.
In the announcement, Mr. Charalambous underlined the importance of the island’s interconnection with the rest of Greece via seaplanes flights.
Hellenic Seaplanes aims for the “integrated development planning of a waterways network that will give a new impetus to the connection of Tinos with the rest of Greece.”
The company has already started the process to obtain permits for the construction and operation of waterways on other Greek islands and expects to develop seaplane destinations throughout the country soon.
