Greek Cruise Industry Development Conference To Be Held In Heraklion, Crete
Greek Maritime industry experts will turn their attention to the need to develop Greece’s cruise industry at a conference to be held 8-9 November in Heraklion, Crete.
The two-day conference will take place in the Heraklion Chamber under the organization of the Heraklion Port Authority in collaboration with the Ministry of Merchant Marine and Aegean.
The conference is entitled “Hellenic Cruise Ports: Best Practices & Sharing Knowledge” and will highlight the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders for the effective development of the cruise industry in Greece. Also, the best practices that are already being employed by the port and city of Heraklion will be discussed as they are the result of the good relations between the port, the city and local stakeholders.
Minister of Merchant Marine and Aegean Miltiadis Varvitsiotis will open the conference, which will be transmitted through live-streaming from the website of the Heraklion Port Authority.
The conference will be held with the support of the Municipality of Heraklion, the Heraklion Commerce & Industry Chamber, the Region of Crete and the Hellenic Center for Marine Research.
