Greece, Russia Sign Joint Action Plan On Tourism
A Joint Action Plan on tourism cooperation for the 2013-2015 period was signed today, 15 October, in Moscow between Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni and the Russian Federation’s head of the Federal Agency for Tourism, Alexander Radkov, and deputy head, Evgeny Pisarevsky.
Outline of the Joint Action Plan
– Exchange of know-how in the field of marketing and special forms of tourism and the promotion of reciprocal visits of media representatives and travel agents with the aim to create awareness about each others’ countries.
– Cooperation in the fields of tourism education and training of hotel staff and exchange of information in the field of tourism legislation.
– Promotion of best investment practices, provision of information on tourism investment projects and boosting cooperation at an administrative level via the relevant competent departments.
After the signing ceremony, Mrs. Kefalogianni referred to Russia as a strategic partner of Greece.
“Tourism strengthens the friendship of the two peoples and strengthens our strong traditional relations,” she said.
