Hersonissos, Crete, Launches First Promo Video

“The Power of Legacy” is the title of the first promotional video of the Municipality of Hersonissos that shows some of Crete’s most hidden treasures. The video was launched online on 15 October.

According to the municipality, the new promotional video is a celebration of legacy, “of those before us, what they left behind and the ones who are still with us.”

The video includes footage of all the hidden treasures deep in the main land of the Municipality of Hersonissos, just waiting to be discovered.

Warm and hospitable locals, traditional Greek villages and homemade cuisine are shown throughout the video, along with the area’s natural beauty that was left behind by past generations “as a moral and spiritual legacy.”

The video, a production of Blueroom, was created by Slovenian artist Žiga Zupančič who has incorporated the photo shots of Norwegian photographer Stian Rekdal who has used the time-lapse photography technique.

The municipality’s next video will introduce all the beautiful beaches Hersonissos has to offer.
