Amadeus has signed over 130 major hotel brands to its Best Available Rate program. Hotels that signed up to the program have seen their bookings through Amadeus grow by between 10% and 30%. The company says travel agents and corporations can be confident that hotel rates in Amadeus are as good as, or better than, hotel rates in other distribution systems or on the hotel’s own website.
Andrew Rubinacci, vice president of distribution marketing EMEA of InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, said that this program “helps us demonstrate our commitment to travel agents and we want travel agents to rest assured that they can find the best InterContinental rate for their customers using Amadeus Hotels, without having to shop around.”
Antoine Medawar, managing director of Amadeus Hospitality Business Group, said we are extremely pleased “that so many hotels are giving a firm commitment to rate parity across the distribution channels and that travel agents reward this commitment by making more hotel bookings through the efficient GDS/travel agency channel.”
Some of the hotel brands that guarantee the Best Available Rates through Amadeus include the Accor Group, Hyatt Hotels, Leading Hotels of the World Group, Jumeirah Hotels, Kempinski Hotels and the Hilton International chain.
