New Look, New Engine, New Features
A newly-designed home page, a totally new and powerful accommodation search engine and new features are but a few of the fresh improvements that make GTP’s (Greek Travel Pages) new Internet site an exciting place to be.
In-house creators were careful to initiate these changes only after an extensive period of consultation and planning. “We strove for simplicity, minimal design and integrated quick search forms in an effort to make GTP’s home page functional and very user-friendly,” say the creation department’s team leaders.
Accommodation specialists will find the new search engine extremely quick and efficient, especially when looking for a specific hotel with specific amenities. There’s dynamic data available for well over 8,900 hotels, resorts, apartments or even rented rooms. The majority of accommodation pages are complete with numerous photos and many boast immediate links to the accommodation unit. New features include an up-to-date listing of the world’s travel, tourism and conference exhibitions. Pages here can be loaded directly from GTP’s home page.
Another new feature is a complete list of Greece’s ski centers, complete with information on each, available amenities and special services.
As well, information on more than 17,500 Greek destinations have been updated as well as available information on some 18,800 worldwide destinations.
The site’s popular ferry schedules continue to be constantly updated, complete with the site’s animated maps.
GTP’s ‘companies’ pages include data on some 24,000 Greek tourism and tourism-related enterprises and 5,300 similar organizations around the world. The companies’ list is broken down into sectors -accommodation, air transfer, art and culture, associations, athletics, churches and religion, health and beauty, land transportation, local government, marketing and advertising, organizations and government, press and media, public authorities, sea world, travel and tourism- for easier searches.
Olympic Games’ supporters and followers will be amazed at the breadth of information within the site on the history of the Games, and the gripping stories behind Olympic medal winners.
For those interested in Greek mythology, a trip into the GTP site is like a journey into one the world’s most sophisticated libraries. Even well learned scholars of the ancient world will feel swamped with astonishing information on ancient Greece and its mythology.
