Celestyal’s Autumn Cruises Tell ‘Stories of Greek Culture and Eno-gastronomy’

Celestyal Cruises this autumn is inviting its guests to experience a journey to Mediterranean cuisine and indulge in Greek wines, through a series of cruises to be held under the theme “Stories of Greek Culture and Eno-gastronomy”.

Within the framework of the company’s “Stories of Greek Hospitality” cruise program, gastronomy specialists will be onboard Celestyal’s ships to give passengers the opportunity to participate in interactive events and experience Greek traditional entertainment.

Celestyal has announced that Greek food blogger “Two Minutes Angie” from September 11 to 25 will take guests on a culinary journey to flavors and specialties of the Greek islands. She will prepare favorite Greek recipes and share some of the culinary “secrets” of the destinations included in the cruises.

Greek olive oil in the spotlight

Greek olive oil, the foundation of  the Mediterranean and Greek nutrition, will also be among the main “ingredients” of Celestyal’s theme cruise. Representatives of GAEA, a Greek company producing extra virgin olive oil, olives, vinegar and dressings, between September 15 and 18, will be onboard the company’s ships to inform guests on the features and benefits of olive oil. Dishes made with extra virgin oil and fresh biological products will be presented during special tasting events.

For wine lovers

Celestyal Cruises will also organize a journey to the “impressive paths” of quality Greek wine.

A producer of the Mercouri Estate, who was voted among the 100 top producers globally by U.S. Magazine “Wine & Spirit”, from September 22 to October 20, will be holding interactive presentations on the history of Greek wine and the Estate’s products.

Greek culture

Celestyal’s cruise ships on September 8, 15 and 29 will host the Lyceum Club of Greek Women, an organization working towards the preservation and promotion of Greek cultural heritage. Passengers will have the opportunity to enjoy Greek music and dances in traditional costumes by the Lyceum’s members and participate in an authentic Greek feast while at sea.
