Sabre Launches New Revenue Management Tool, Aegean Airlines Picks it Up
Besides enabling airlines to drive revenue by one to two percent and offer more personalized services through a better understanding of traveler profiles, technology provider Sabre’s next-generation AirVision Revenue Optimizer is designed to help airlines respond to rapidly changing market conditions in real-time.
Launched during the CAPA-ACTE Global Summit in Amsterdam last week, Sabre’s AirVision Revenue Optimizer provides end-to-end control for airlines to better understand traveler profiles and to respond to passenger demand while efficiently pricing and selling their seat inventory and ancillary products.
Greek carrier Aegean Airlines is set to implement the solution for real-time revenue management. “Sabre’s real-time data processing, enhanced integration and advanced decision support tool capabilities were impactful considerations for Aegean,” said Roland Jaggi, director Revenue Management, Pricing, International Sales at Aegean Airlines.
“Utilizing revenue management systems of the past can no longer produce long-term profitability,” said Pramod Jain, vice president of Sabre AirVision.
In addition, the tools offers airline analysts a complete view of data due to the integration with SabreSonic, Sabre’s passenger service systems (PSS), and scheduling and pricing amongst other Sabre commercial planning solutions, enabling faster response to changes in capacity and pricing.
Aegean Airlines joins Azul, Aserca, Avior, Ravn Alaska, Santa Barbara, Saudi Gulf and Bangkok in using this next-generation solution.
