Kefalogianni: Greek Tourism Will Continue Growth In 2014
Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni has expressed confidence that Greek tourism will continue to rise next year as its progress has shown very promising signs already.
“The only necessary condition for this upward trend to continue is that the plan we have been following for the past 17 months is constantly improved,” Mrs. Kefalogianni said on 21 November during her speech at the Capital + Vision multi-conference “Tourism Development: Strengthening Competitiveness,” held in Thessaloniki.
The tourism minister underlined that improvements must be also be made regularly to Greece’s offered product.
According to Mrs. Kefalogianni, the driving force in the effort will be the national strategy planned for Greek tourism, which has set the foundation for growth in the coming years.
She added that emphasis will be placed on the development of thematic forms of tourism while investing in human resources is also a key strategic choice of the Greek Tourism Ministry.
