K2 Smart Jets, Water Airports Seal Deal To launch Seaplane Services In Greece
Two Greek companies recently joined forces in a bid to develop waterways across Greece and offer passenger transport via seaplanes.
Greek airline company K2 Smart Jets that provides high quality corporate and VIP air transport service has bought 50 percent of Greek company Water Airports CA.
It is reminded that following the ratification of a draft law that simplifies the licensing and operation of waterways in Greek waters, Water Airports has already undertaken the construction of four waterways (Corfu, Paxos and Ereikoussa and Othonous on the Diapontia islands) on behalf of the Port of Corfu.
The company is currently in talks to undertake terminals in other island regions of the country such as Crete, the Cyclades, the Dodecanese, the Saronic Gulf and the Sporades.
Upon completion of the cooperation agreement, the two companies are aiming to implement their business plans and offer seaplane routes as of the beginning of next year.
